We are a PLAN accredited service and the core24 team are part of the well-established wider Liaison Psychiatry service at Peterborough City Hospital. As part of the Liaison Psychiatry Service, the post-holder will contribute to the multi-disciplinary clinical assessment and management of patients referred to the service in collaboration with other team members. This role is a permanent, full-time vacancy for an enthusiastic and motivated Clinical Nurse Specialist / Mental Health Professional wanting to join the established liaison psychiatry emergency department team.   The liaison psychiatry service is highly regarded nationally and is accredited through the Psychiatric Liaison Accreditation Network (PLAN).   The service aims to offer exceptional standards of care to all patients attending Peterborough City Hospital experiencing a comorbid mental health issue. As such, an opportunity has arisen to recruit a dynamic CNS / MHP on a permanent contract who will work 12.5 hour shifts across a 24/7 rota. Providing and undertaking timely biopsychosocial assessments and risk management plans in accordance with CPFTs Clinical Risk Assessment and Management policy for adults presenting to the Emergency Department with mental health problems.   Promoting a safe and effective service throughout the Emergency Department; this will be through training and giving expert advice and support to nursing and medical teams within the Emergency Department   Maintaining a visible, professional presence where patients, carers and staff can turn for assistance, advice and support.   As part of the Liaison Psychiatry Service, the post-holder will contribute to the multidisciplinary clinical assessment and management of patients referred to the service in collaboration with other team members.   To participate in and promote close links with community mental health teams and other agencies to develop effective care plans.
