The South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic nurse for the role of Colorectal Cancer Clinical Support Sister/Charge Nurse at James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough. The successful candidate will provide specialized nursing support to patients with colorectal cancers throughout their treatment journey, collaborating closely with the colorectal cancer multi-professional team. Responsibilities include managing a supervised caseload, offering guidance and support to patients and their families, and ensuring a smooth transition of care from surgery to radiotherapy/chemotherapy and into the community.

The role requires strong communication and coordination with various services within the hospital and external partners, such as community teams and social services, to ensure high-quality care. Additionally, the post holder will contribute to the enhancement of clinical practices, engage in multidisciplinary teamwork, and participate in research and audits to develop standardized patient information and clinical supervision. This position is vital to maintaining seamless patient care across the surgical and oncology pathways.
