The Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a qualified Therapy Radiographer or a soon-to-graduate student for a Band 5 position at the Cheltenham General Hospital's Oncology Centre. The department features advanced Varian machines and focuses on various radiotherapy techniques, including IMRT, Arcing, and SABR, as well as a Brachytherapy unit. The role involves rotating between the main hospital and a satellite center in Hereford, engaging in national research trials, and maintaining high patient care standards, including the development of a Late Effects Service for ongoing patient support.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, safe radiotherapy services, communicate effectively with patients and their families, provide reassurance and evidence-based advice on treatment side effects, and administer medication as required. Participation in departmental quality systems, sharing knowledge with peers, and engaging in both pre-treatment and treatment procedures are essential components of the job. The department values reflective practice and encourages a collaborative environment for learning and development.
