The role of a Social Worker in the Family Assessment and Support Team in the Scarborough area involves working with children and families, including those in need, under child protection plans, or facing public law proceedings. The social worker will manage a caseload that includes various assessments and develop support plans in collaboration with multi-agency partners. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, maintaining detailed case records, participating in court processes, and engaging in continuous professional development through extensive training provided by North Yorkshire Council.

The position emphasises the importance of interagency collaboration and maintaining strong connections with external organisations to ensure positive outcomes for children and families.
