CANCER CANNULATION INTRAVENOUS NHS NIGHTS UNIFORM
The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester is seeking experienced nurses for their Acute Ambulatory Care Unit (AACU). While oncology experience is not mandatory, an interest in oncology nursing is preferred, as the unit handles emergency and unplanned admissions with various medical issues and acute cancer treatment complications. The position offers an attractive work environment, including a newly built unit, a favorable nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4/5, an extensive induction period, and opportunities for ongoing training and development in acute care and oncology.

Staff nurses will be responsible for managing patient care, providing support for both nursing and medical staff, and ensuring patient safety while maintaining dignity and privacy. Additional duties include coordinating patient flow, assisting with procedures, training junior staff, and maintaining accurate documentation. The role emphasises personal development, adherence to policy, and fostering a collaborative work environment, with the support of a friendly team and access to specialized training resources. Working hours are during the day, with no night shifts required.
