Job Summary for Receptionist Role at Ashfield Medical Centre, Leeds
The Receptionist position is a dynamic and varied role requiring excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage multiple tasks and challenging situations effectively. The team consists of eight members across two sites and offers a supportive work environment.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Acting as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, addressing inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Facilitating navigation of NHS and local services, managing patient appointments and prescription requests.
  • Supporting clinicians during surgeries, providing administrative assistance, and maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Handling samples according to health and safety protocols and preparing medical consultation rooms.
  • Performing routine housekeeping, managing general administrative tasks, and attending training as needed.
The role is approximately 27 hours per week, with working days on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The post holder should be flexible to cover additional hours for annual leave or other absences. Training will be provided for specific duties including patient chaperoning and handling clinical correspondence.
