University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is looking for an enthusiastic Band 5 nurse ready to advance their career or an experienced Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse for our Paediatric Assessment Unit (PAU) at Queens Hospital Burton. This is a fantastic opportunity for a 9-month secondment or fixed term contract to cover maternity leave, where you will play a vital role in delivering urgent and emergency care to babies and children from birth to 16 years in a warm and supportive environment.
As part of our dedicated team, you’ll collaborate closely with the Emergency Department and inpatient services to provide high-quality, compassionate care. Your experience in paediatric urgent care will shine as you lead nursing initiatives, triage medical needs and advocate for our young patients. With working hours from 09:30 to 22:00, 7 days a week, this role is perfect for those who thrive in dynamic settings. Plus, you'll have the chance to rotate to the Children's Emergency Department at Royal Derby Hospital.
