The Intensive Community Support Dementia (ICSD) team at Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated and dynamic Mental Health Nurse or Occupational Therapist (RMN or OT) to fill the role of Band 6 Clinical Team Leader based in Charlton Down. The position offers a unique opportunity for career development from a Band 5 to Band 6 role, with full training provided. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a small group of patients, conducting assessments, and ensuring smooth team operations while collaborating with Community Mental Health Teams and other agencies to deliver high-quality care in various environments.

This full-time or part-time position requires a valid driver's license, as the role involves covering North and West Dorset within a community setting. The ICSD operates seven days a week, and the Clinical Team Leader will be expected to work shifts, including weekends. Key responsibilities include risk management, clinical decision-making, and maintaining effective communication. Additionally, candidates must have a strong understanding of mental health legislation, undergo necessary training in Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression, and complete an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
