The Band 3 Medical Laboratory Assistant role at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust involves supporting Biomedical Scientists in the Pathology department, which plays a vital role in clinical decision-making and research. The position requires processing patient specimens, including labelling and preparing samples, conducting laboratory tests, and troubleshooting issues with misplaced samples.
