Leadership & Clinical Responsibilities
We are seeking aGP Leadto contribute15.5 hours per weekin a leadership role, alongside aminimum of 4+ hours per weekof clinical work withinSevernSide IUC. The post holder will play a crucial role in ourmulti-disciplinary leadership team, working closely with medical, nursing, AHP, and operational colleagues.
The role will have a particular focus onSystem CAS and Frailty -ACEwithinIntegrated Urgent Care (IUC), while also supporting broader IUC responsibilities. The GP Lead will be pivotal indriving innovation, quality improvement, and service development, fostering relationships within BrisDoc and with external partners.

The GP Lead will actively contribute to patient care and service quality by:
- Establishingproactive working relationshipswith governance, operational, and clinical leadership teams.
- Driving a culture of openness, learning, and patient safety.
- Supporting Clinical Governance
Clinical Work In SevernSide IUC
- A preference for workingacross at least two elementsof SevernSide (e.g.,Out of Hours, WDPL, System CAS, Frailty-ACE), includingOut of Hours shifts.
- A commitment to Clinical Coordinator (CC) shifts as part of clinical duties (training and support provided).
- A fair share of clinical work acrossBank Holidays and holiday periods, ensuring senior medical cover.
Leadership, Service Development & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Identify service gaps and support or lead improvements.
- Drive urgent care pathway development and optimise clinical time on shift.Workforce Care, Training & Development:
- Driving GP recruitment and retention within SevernSide
- SupportingGP trainees, enhancing their experience, and promotinglong-term retention.
- Leading and deliveringclinical inductionsfor new GPs and trainees.
Line Management Responsibilities:
The GP Lead team providesline managementfor employed SevernSide GPs and Clinical Guardian GPs, including:
- Conducting Performance & Development Reviews (PDRs) annually.
- Ensuring direct reports completemandatory trainingand receive ongoing support.
Communication & Engagement:
- Contribute to and lead on clinical updates via electronic newsletters for IUC clinicians.
- Ensureeffective staff communications, helping clinicians access key guidance and resources.
