Job Summary for ARRS GP - North Lincolnshire South PCN
Ancora Medical Practice in Scunthorpe is seeking newly qualified GPs (within the last two years and without a substantive post) for a fixed-term salaried position until March 31, 2025. The role involves working across 3-6 practices within the North Lincolnshire South PCN, focusing on supporting them during the winter period.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing routine and urgent appointments (both in-person and via phone)
  • Prescribing in line with local and national guidelines
  • Completing administrative tasks including referrals and repeat prescriptions
  • Providing home visits as needed
  • Participating in extended hours and collaborating with other health services for comprehensive patient care
  • Supporting clinical and administrative staff to achieve high care standards
The position offers a supportive environment with a good work/life balance, six weeks of annual leave (pro rata), bank holidays, and additional NHS days. Contract terms are based on the BMA model, and there may be potential for contract extension pending further guidance from NHSE. Regular reviews of the role's content will occur in consultation with the post-holder.
