Team Overview:
The role is part of the National Adult ADHD and Autism Outpatient Clinic, a service providing diagnostic assessments and treatment for adults across the UK with suspected ADHD and/or autism, often dealing with complex referrals and comorbid mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Clinical Duties:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
  • Act as a non-medical prescriber, initiating and titrating ADHD medications.
  • Provide follow-up care and consultations, manage risk assessments, and support best practices for clients' holistic care.
  1. Communication:
  • Utilize expert communication skills to inform and educate service users and their families.
  • Advocate for service users and maintain effective communication with multidisciplinary team members and external stakeholders.
  1. Clinical Leadership:
  • Provide leadership within the nursing profession and promote high standards of care.
  • Supervise and support the development of staff competency and service innovation.
