The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is offering a full-time secondment opportunity for an experienced Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse within the Acute Medical Unit (AMU) in Reading, lasting for 7 months. Candidates must possess significant acute medical nursing experience, a degree-level qualification, completed HMU competencies, and either have completed or be nearing completion of a Critical Care Course. The role involves supporting the Ward/Department Sister or Charge Nurse, managing patient flow, ensuring safety and cleanliness in the clinical environment, and fostering excellent communication and collaboration within the multidisciplinary team.

The position emphasises leadership, requiring the successful applicant to mentor junior staff, champion quality improvement, and promote teamwork across various units within the Trust.
