For further information on this role, please see the attached detailed Job Description and Person Specification.
The Critical Care Unit at the Royal Marsden is looking to appoint a Clinical Fellow in Critical Care. This post would be equivalent to a ST3 level candidate; however those with little or no critical care experience would be equally as suitable for the post. This is a substantive 3-6 month post (extendable), open to all individuals who wish to gain further experience in Critical Care Medicine.
The post will comprise daytime, night-time and weekend commitment to provide cover for the Critical Care Unit (CCU) at the Fulham Road, Chelsea, site. This would comprise, on average, 48-hours/week. This post does not require advanced airway skills, as there is a separate anaesthetic rota providing cover on the unit.
The appointee will be expected, with colleagues, to provide a first-class critical care service. Clinical duties include, but are not limited to, the day-to-day provision of high-quality medical care to patients on the CCU.
The appointee will be encouraged to undertake a research, quality improvement or audit project under a designated consultant supervisor.
