The Clinical Nurse Specialist - Blood and Marrow Transplant role at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board involves working within a multi-disciplinary team to provide care for blood and bone marrow transplant patients at the Haematology Day Unit. The successful candidate will serve as the key worker for transplant and Aplastic Anaemia patients, coordinating their care, supporting decision-making, and maintaining communication between the patients, families, and local hospitals post-transplant. Responsibilities include organizing patient appointments, conducting various clinical procedures after training, and delivering high-quality, tailored patient care throughout their treatment journey.

Additionally, the role emphasises assessing and evaluating patient needs using a holistic approach and providing psychological support and education to patients. The candidate will work closely with the Advanced Nurse Practitioner and BMT Consultant to ensure documentation aligns with clinical governance standards. The position is a fixed term/secondment for 8 months and requires the ability to speak Welsh as a desirable skill, although English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
