Job description
We are recruiting Advanced Nurse Practitioners on a locum basis to provide online digital consultations (both video and telephone) to our patients. As members of our sessional clinical team, our Advanced Nurse Practitioners will be working alongside a team of healthcare professionals to deliver an overflow service for GP practices who require our assistance to manage increased patient demand. The team incorporates GPs, paramedics, clinical pharmacists and first contact physiotherapists. You would be offering treatment and advice for acute and minor illnesses, improve patient self-management and the management of care, execute accurate diagnosis, assessment and intervention. Our current opening times are Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm.
We are particularly looking for candidates who can do afternoons Monday- Friday.
YOUR PROFILE
- Passionate about our vision and incredible mission to combat health inequalities- Registered Advanced Nurse Practitioner with the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council)
- ARRS Eligible
- 2+ years proven record of acting a registered nurse in a primary care setting
- MSc Advanced Clinical Practice
- Prescribe autonomously and hold a valid V300 certificate
- Previous experience of triage/telephone consultation is essential
- Ideally, experience in assessing and treating patients with diabetes & asthma
- Commit to working a minimum of 4 sessions / 16 hours per week on a regular base
- Excellent communication and IT skills
- Dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic ANPs and who want to work differently
- (Optional) Previous experience in clinical leadership, and facilitating learning, research, and development.

Immediate Start. We are recruiting an AdvancedNursePractitioner to provide online digital consultations (both video and telephone) to our patients.
As members of our sessional clinical team, our clinicians work alongside GPs, paramedics, and other healthcare professionals to provide advice on best value and most effective treatments and services.
This work may include providing primary support to the practice staff with regards to prescription and medication queries, clinical leadership on medicines optimisation and quality improvement. You will manage some aspects of the quality and outcomes framework and local enhanced services. Therefore you must have experience in managing long-term conditions such as CVD, respiratory and/or diabetes. Other duties will include but are not limited to patient-facing and remote medication review and the implementation of guidelines and formulary recommendations.
