Bramblys Grange Medical Practice are seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant to work 30 hours per week. Salary advertised is WTE and will be pro rata accordingly. We are looking for healthcare assistant who is a motivated, enthusiastic, driven, hardworking and organised individual to take on the post of Healthcare Assistant (HCA). The successful candidate will join our nursing team in providing primary care nursing services to our patients. The Healthcare Assistant will assist the GPs and nursing team in the service and delivery of health care to the practice population. The post holder will work under the supervision of the nursing team and Nurse Lead to undertake tasks/duties delegated appropriately. The post holder will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet patient needs. General duties will include; dressings, phlebotomy, injections, supporting the care of diabetic, and asthmatic patients, and stock management and ordering. About us Role purpose of the HCA is to work collaboratively within the general practice team to provide services to the practice population. Development of the HCA clinical skills will depend on the needs of the practice. Training and annual updates will ensure skills are evidence based and within the scope of practice. The following roles of the Health Care Assistant include: Phlebotomy Urinalysis General observations including ECGs. Spirometry Assessments Part 1 Mental Health Review Clinics Part 1 Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Clinics Part 1 Diabetes Clinics and Pre-Diabetes Clinics Learning Disabilities Clinics Health promotion including referrals to Other Healthcare Practitioners (OHPs)/ Care Providers, including Podiatry, Smoke Free Hampshire, Gloji, Cholesterol Advice etc. NHS Health Checks Assisting GP in Womens Health Coils/Implants Clinics Administration in Childhood Immunisation Clinics Dressing Clinics including compression bandaging and removal of clips and staples. Vaccinations which could include B12, Shingles, Pneumococcal and GnRH Assist in the annual influenza and Covid programme for adults and children. Active participation in achieving QOF and Enhanced Service targets and recall demands.
