The Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a dedicated Senior Social Worker to join their community mental health treatment teams in Chelmsford, Mid Essex. The ideal candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm and resourcefulness in meeting the needs of service users, providing high-quality assessments and interventions to promote recovery and independence. The role emphasises strength-based approaches and involves delivering statutory social care responsibilities as outlined in the Care Act (2014).

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work autonomously while benefiting from the support of a multi-disciplinary team and ongoing professional development through training opportunities, including AMHP training. Additionally, the role requires active participation as an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP), conducting assessments and collaborating with service users and their families to ensure appropriate actions are taken in line with mental health legislation.
