The Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced nurse for the position of Band 6 Special School Nurse, specifically for internal MPFT applicants only. This role involves providing temporary cover within the Newcastle hub in North Staffordshire, supporting special schools such as Newfriars College and Merryfields. The successful candidate will join a skilled team, delivering holistic nursing care to children and young people with various disabilities, and will collaborate with educational staff, local authorities, and families to promote health and well-being.

Key responsibilities include assessing care needs, implementing and evaluating care plans, and responding to emergencies as required. The nurse will also be responsible for medication administration in compliance with Trust policies, conducting school medicals, providing health advice, and ensuring safeguarding measures are followed. The position offers up to 37.5 hours of work per week, primarily from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, although term-time work may not be necessary unless the role becomes permanent.
