We have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Wayland, a category C Prison located in Griston in Norfolk
Youll receive a salary of up to £40,211 depending on experience

Hours:
09:00 am -17:30 Monday to Friday 08:30 am - 17:30 WeekendsCandidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
As a Mental Health Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Work within a multi-disciplinary team carrying out comprehensive assessments, initiating and reviewing care plans, and developing treatment options
- Undertake medication rounds, and assess and treat patients who may have undergone traumatic experiences and may be distressed
- Assess patients health needs using an evidence based framework and be able to risk assess use sound clinical knowledge
- You will work with individuals providing advice, support and information and manage a case load of patients.
- Deliver non-judgemental care that makes a real difference
- You will monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects liaising with prescribers as required.
- Inspire excellence by forging strong links with our partners and stakeholders
- Promote best practice, clinical supervision, evidence based care
- Share knowledge, skills and expertise to ensure safe care, building strong multi-disciplinary teams and supporting each other to do a great job.
