Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is seeking a Laboratory Healthcare Support Worker for its Cellular Pathology Department in Newport. This permanent position is a full-time role, requiring 37.5 hours per week, and involves working Monday to Friday. The main responsibilities include facilitating the processing of histology and diagnostic cytology specimens by managing specimen reception tasks such as unpacking, checking, registering specimens, and filing tissue blocks and microscope slides. Additional duties entail receiving consumables, handling telecommunication tasks, and general housekeeping.

The department processes around 38,000 specimens annually, and the ideal candidate should have good organisational skills and attention to detail. While the ability to speak Welsh is desirable, applications are welcomed from both English and Welsh speakers.
