Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Second Chef for their care home in Waltham Abbey. This role involves working with fresh, seasonal ingredients to prepare nutritious and appetizing meals for residents, assisting the Head Chef in menu development, and fostering a warm kitchen atmosphere. Candidates should have a personable approach, a good understanding of nutrition, and experience with fresh produce, along with relevant culinary qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ). Responsibilities include managing the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, ensuring high standards in food preparation, and engaging with residents to tailor menus to their preferences.
