The Specialist Clinical Psychologist (Tier 3/ ND Screening) position at the Merton Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) service involves providing comprehensive outpatient assessment, intervention, and consultation for children facing various mental health and neurodevelopmental challenges. This role is part of the Tier 3 'Getting More Help' Team, which specializes in evidence-based treatments for moderate to severe issues, while also collaborating closely with the CAMHS Single Point of Access (SPA) for neurodevelopmental referrals, including ADHD and ASD assessments. The successful candidate will work three days in the Tier 3 treatment team and two days in the SPA, focusing on triaging new referrals, leading the neurodevelopmental screening pathway, and providing therapeutic interventions.

Qualified psychologists will need HPCP registration, experience with children and young people, and possess strong communication and assessment skills, especially in neurodevelopmental disorders. Responsibilities include conducting detailed assessments using various methodologies, formulating intervention plans, providing consultancy to other professionals, managing risks, and maintaining accurate health records. Additionally, the role encompasses teaching, supervision, and contributions to service development, while also promoting evidence-based practices through research and continuous professional development.
