Job description
Applications are invited from experienced phlebotomist to work within the Children's Outpatient Department and Royal Lancaster Infirmary.You will work within the Team to ensure the provision of a phlebotomy service to babies, children and young people.
This is an interesting position, and you will be joining a team which provides a service combining a unique mix of duties in a busy but friendly department.
Our Children's outpatient services provide services for Children and Young People from 0 to 18 years of age across two busy sites, Royal Lancaster Infirmary and Furness General Hospital. The outpatients department provides clinics for many specialities as well as visiting Consultants from other trusts.
Phlebotomists are responsible for the collection of blood byvenepuncture for a wide range of pathological analysis.
Work is managed on a daily basis not directly supervised.
The post holder will comply with local and national policies for thesafe and Secure processing of patient information.
All duties will be performed to a professional standard directed byNational, Trust and pathology service policies and procedures.
