We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join the Primary Care team at HMP Full Sutton. HMP Full Sutton is a Category A mens prison near Pocklington. It is a half an hour drive from York city centre. The prison is purpose built and has capacity to hold 560 men in conditions of high security.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team, and work in a varied environment, where you will gain experience across primary care, including emergency response, working on the wings, clinics, health promotion, and more! No 2 days are the same in this challenging, yet rewarding and supportive environment.  
Hours:

 
This is a full time role, 37.5 hours per week, usually 3 long shifts. Shifts are: 07:00 - 19:00 19:00 - 07:00 You will predominantly work day shifts Monday - Sunday, but occasional nights will be required.   
Salary:
This position is full time , youll receive an annual salary up to £28,690 per annum - depending on experience.

As our new Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:

  • Ensure continuity of care for all patients, and deliver outstanding care at all times
  • Work across all areas of care, including inpatients, clinics, primary care, health promotion, bloods etc
  • Respond to emergency situations as needed
  • Work holistically with your patients and other healthcare staff, including nurses, nursing associates, pharmacy etc 
  • Deliver personalised, non judgemental care, based on patient feedback 
  • Contribute to, and implement care packages, assist with health promotion, wellbeing and clinics
