The South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a full-time Senior Mental Health Practitioner for the Wakefield Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), specifically to support The Croft, a therapeutic residential home for children. The role involves offering risk assessments, individualized care planning, and therapeutic interventions for young residents while also providing support and guidance to the staff. The successful candidate will join the Enhanced Outreach Team (EOT), primarily working with Looked After Children, and will be responsible for assessing the appropriateness of placements within The Croft.

Additionally, the post-holder will contribute to team meetings, provide clinical supervision to colleagues, and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team (MDT). The position requires regular travel to the Ackworth area and emphasises a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Candidates are encouraged to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and are advised to complete their applications without relying on AI technology.
