Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Day Technician (Mechanical) to join its Estates & Facilities Management Team. This role requires versatility across engineering disciplines, with a focus on both mechanical and electrical skills. The technician will be responsible for general maintenance and installation tasks on complex systems, diagnosing and repairing faults in various installations, including plumbing, water heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and pump systems. The technician must work collaboratively with the maintenance team and independently, while also instructing others and participating in the implementation of new technologies and procedures to enhance departmental efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the mechanical and electrical systems within NHS buildings, perform planned preventive maintenance, and handle a range of repairs and installations with minimal supervision. They are expected to actively participate in learning and adopting new practices to improve operational effectiveness, while ensuring the efficient function of all plant and equipment.
