Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking to appoint two Consultant Clinical Neurophysiologists to conduct a variety of peripheral neurophysiological investigations and report on electroencephalographic studies for both adult and pediatric patients. The role includes responsibilities such as participating in an orthopaedic intraoperative monitoring service, managing pediatric polysomnography, and providing cerebral function monitoring in critical care settings. The department emphasises professional development, offering opportunities for training and support, as well as recruitment incentives and flexible working hours with on-call requirements.

Candidates should have experience in pediatric neurophysiology, as around 50% of EEG referrals are from pediatric specialists. The position includes allocations for training, development, and administrative duties, aimed at fostering a collaborative environment among consultant and trainee scientist staff. The department is one of the largest in the UK, handling approximately 4,500 patients annually, and utilizes advanced neurophysiology technology. Travel between sites may be necessary, but costs are compensated according to Trust policy.
