The East London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an innovative and inspiring leader for the role of Directorate Lead for Occupational Therapy in the Newham Mental Health, Learning Disability, and Autism Directorate. This position involves strategic and operational management of adult and older adult mental health occupational therapy services in Newham, along with oversight of occupational therapists in learning disability services and peer support work. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding a diverse team, ensuring high-quality service delivery that aligns with NHS strategies, fostering a supportive working culture, and leading initiatives that enhance service user recovery and inclusion.

Key responsibilities include providing professional leadership for occupational therapy staff, implementing quality improvement processes, and collaborating with partners both internally and externally to optimize service pathways. As part of the directorate's senior leadership team, the Directorate Lead will translate strategic objectives into actionable plans, engage in locality planning, oversee various non-registered professionals, and contribute to trustwide initiatives.
