The York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated individual for the position of Senior Biomedical Scientist - Haematology at Scarborough Hospital as part of the Scarborough, Hull, York Pathology Services (SHYPS) Network. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the senior team to oversee the Coagulation and Morphology sections while also serving as a training officer. Applicants must be HCPC Registered Biomedical Scientists with a relevant postgraduate qualification in Haematology, while experience in quality management, training, or leadership is preferred.

In this role, the post holder will manage day-to-day operations, supervise and train staff, and ensure adherence to personal and professional standards. The Haematology Laboratory is equipped with advanced analysers and is transitioning to a new Laboratory Information Management System.
