We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Diabetes and Endocrinology Admin team as a Service Administrator on a 12 month secondment/fixed term contract.

This role will be based at the Macleod Diabetes Centre (MDEC).

If you have previous experience within customer service or administration and are looking for a new challenge, this secondment/fixed term role could be for you.

As a service administrator you will be required to communicate between our patients and our clinical staff - answering patient calls and queries, nurse queries, liaising with consultants, validating patient pathways, and booking outpatient appointments.

We are looking for someone who is empathetic and can provide excellent patient care when dealing with queries and concerns from patients over the phone or via email.

Day to Day you will be ensuring all administrative processes and enquiries are dealt with in an efficient and timely manner.

Typical tasks that you will complete are:

  • Proof reading clinical letters.
  • Booking appointments from waiting lists.
  • Setting up and updating clinics.
  • Liaising with other health services.
  • Assisting and supporting other members of the administrative team across the department or division, including dealing with telephone calls and resolving enquiries for patients, their carers and visitors.


Working Pattern:
Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9am to 5pm
