The Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust is seeking a Sexual and Reproductive Health Nurse for a 1-year fixed term maternity cover position in West Bromwich. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and committed to providing high-quality sexual health services as part of a multi-disciplinary team, which includes various healthcare professionals. Responsibilities include delivering sexual health and contraceptive care, participating in health promotion, particularly for vulnerable populations, managing patients requiring implant fittings and removals, providing education on diverse contraceptive methods, conducting screenings, and supervising healthcare support workers. The role involves working primarily at the Lyng Centre and in outreach services throughout Sandwell, with a focus on evidence-based and patient-centered care. Applicants must have experience in intrauterine device insertion, and there is an emphasis on engaging with hard-to-reach communities.
