The British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS) is seeking a Registered Nurse or Midwife to join their team as an Aftercare Teleconsultation Nurse or Midwife. This is a part-time, permanent position requiring 30 hours of work per week from home, with a shift schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and overnight hours across a 24/7 service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide telephone-based post-abortion, vasectomy, and sexual health advice.
  • Conduct assessments and offer medical advice to a diverse client group based on their individual needs.
  • Handle clinical triage, including booking follow-up appointments and referring clients for additional support services when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate client records and ensure communication with GPs and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements:

  • Current registration as an Adult Nurse Level 1 or Midwife, with experience in primary, surgical, or urgent care settings.
  • Previous clinical triage experience and a solid understanding of healthcare guidelines.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft software.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of remote working.

Location & Hours:

  • Primarily home-based, with potential travel for training at BPAS locations and occasional meetings at the Leamington Spa head office. Shifts are scheduled in advance.

Salary:

  • Competitive salary ranging from £36,938 to £44,625 per annum, pro-rata for part-time hours, based on experience.
