Are you an experienced Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioner looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real impact? Active Care Group is seeking a dedicated PBS Practitioner to join our expanding team at Nottingham Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre, supporting individuals with complex neurobehavioural needs.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development of a brand-new neurobehavioural unit, shaping its foundation and ensuring the highest standards of person-centred care. As a PBS Practitioner, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement ethical, least-restrictive behaviour support strategies that enhance the well-being and quality of life of the individuals we support.

About us
What you'll be working:
Our standard working hours for this role are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and the post holder will be based at Nottingham Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre.

What you'll be doing:
- Contribute to the development of the culture of Positive Behaviour Support at Nottingham Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre including the new neurobehavioural unit
- Conduct comprehensive Functional Behaviour Assessments for individuals and implement Positive Behaviour Support plans in collaboration with the person, support teams, families and other relevant stakeholders
- Develop scientifically grounded, data driven behaviour support plans which effectively address behaviours of concern, promote skill development, and enhance overall well-being
- Implement, monitor and evaluate behaviour support plans with a focus on reducing behavioural incidents and improving quality of life for the people we support
- Provide expert advice and recommendations to staff working within the unit regarding Positive Behaviour Support
- Conduct incident analysis and reviews to identify for any necessary adaptations of PBS strategies where required
- Provide coaching and mentoring to direct support staff to ensure the effective implementation of PBS strategies
- Conduct debrief sessions with staff and the individuals we support following significant incidents to promote their well-being and facilitate valuable learning outcomes
- Continuously develop personal knowledge and practice to support ongoing service growth and improvement
- Commit to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable individuals
