The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Staff Nurse for its Maternity Department in Oldham. The role involves assessing, implementing, and evaluating clinical care for women, birthing individuals, and newborns within the maternity unit, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective patient care. Candidates must have completed their preceptorship and possess a current NMC PIN for practice as a Registered Nurse or Midwife in the UK or be nearing completion of their NMC requirements.

The position allows for part-time and flexible working arrangements and emphasises the importance of maintaining high professional standards. The successful candidate will also provide mentorship and support to less experienced team members, while contributing to team dynamics in a busy maternity environment. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Staff Nurse to join our busy Maternity Department.

The Maternity Nurse is responsible for the assessment, implementation and evaluation of clinical care for women, birthing people and babies on the maternity unit. As a nurse, you will work in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team ensuring effective care is planned and delivered.

Part time and flexible working can be discussed.

You must have completed completed your preceptorship.

As a nurse, you are responsible for your own practice and will be expected to maintain a high standard of professional expertise to ensure that the highest standard of care is given to patients in their care.

Provide support and mentoring to less experienced practitioners, midwives, nurses and students to the trust standards and competencies and to support colleagues in a multi-disciplinary team.

This vacancy is open to those who have a current NMC PIN to practice as an Registered Nurse or Midwife in the UK, or those who are currently enrolled on a course which means they expect to receive their full NMC PIN within the next 3 months. Please note an NMC PRN PIN is not a full NMC PIN and would not fulfil the essential criteria for this role.
