The North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Ambulance Liaison Assistant (PTS Call Taker) for their Newburn headquarters. The role involves handling a high volume of calls from healthcare staff, GP surgeries, patients, and colleagues to manage patient transport bookings and address queries. Candidates should be assertive, confident, and able to make quick decisions while gathering essential information. Strong computer skills and good keyboard proficiency are required, with preference given to those with call handling and customer service experience, particularly in a call center. Alternatively, candidates with at least three GCSEs (including Maths and English) are encouraged to apply. This full-time position (37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 8am-6pm) offers a competitive benefits package and the opportunity to impact community healthcare positively.
