The Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated and confident Community Specialist Dietitian to join their Community Nutrition and Dietetic team, based at Minerva Health Centre in Preston. This role offers the opportunity to work flexible hours, including remote options, and involves providing care to patients across the Greater Preston and Chorley South Ribble area. Responsibilities include assessing and implementing care plans for patients in various settings, training healthcare professionals, and delivering high-quality clinical services. The position emphasises the importance of patient advocacy, clinical governance, and ongoing professional development, while requiring independent travel within the locality.

As a clinical expert, the Specialist Dietitian will actively contribute to the development of specialist dietetic practices, collaborate with multi-professional teams, and enhance the quality of care for patients. The role also includes managing a defined caseload, setting care standards, and providing educational support to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals. Candidates are expected to demonstrate leadership qualities and a commitment to achieving clinical service objectives while adhering to national standards.
