The Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic individual for the role of Trainee/Qualified Advanced Paediatric Nurse Practitioner (APNP) in Cramlington. This position is open to both qualified APNPs and those aspiring to become one. APNPs are key members of the healthcare team, responsible for diagnosing and treating children and young people in the emergency department and inpatient settings. The role includes working alongside Paediatric Registrars and SAS doctors on a blended rota.

Successful candidates with a Master's degree in Advanced Paediatric Practice will receive support through a supernumerary program before joining the middle grade rota. Those without the necessary qualification will be supported to complete a part-time Master's program over three years, progressing through different pay bands as they gain competencies. Throughout this training, candidates will be guided by a Clinical Supervisor and the APNP team, ultimately leading to independent practice and involvement in neonatal transports.
