A vacancy exists for a Nursing Associate within the Children and Young People's Special School Nursing Service in Crawley due to internal progression. The role involves providing high-quality nursing care to children and young people in multiple Special Schools across West Sussex, working alongside Special School Nurses and Allied Health Professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver general and specialized care under the supervision of a Special School Nurse.
  • Monitor and assess children's conditions using established tools (e.g., PEWS, NEWS2).
  • Implement care plans, treat patients, and contribute to care evaluations.
  • Educate and support patients and their families regarding health care needs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to NMC and Trust policies.
  • Participate in team development, clinical audits, and reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Completed Nursing Associate training and registered with the NMC.
  • Proficient in the competencies defined during training.
  • Ability to work under guidance and supervision, support the learning of others, and act as a professional role model.
