Livewell Southwest is seeking a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist for a part-time position (32 hours per week) to work in their inpatient services for older adults at Cothele and Edgcumbe units in Plymouth. This role involves improving the psychological health of inpatients, providing psychological assessment and interventions, supporting ward staff, and engaging in service development initiatives. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the role, receive regular supervision, and access continuous professional development, including financial support for relevant post-qualification training.

The Clinical Psychologist will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, conducting specialist assessments and formulating treatment plans tailored to patients' needs. Key responsibilities include consulting with staff and families, managing complex cases, and providing training and support to other professionals in understanding psychological issues. The position requires a high level of communication and relationship skills, particularly in managing sensitive situations involving emotional distress.
