Training and Development Officer (Adult and Children's Social Care) inMorpeth inMorpeth PUBLISHED 24 OCT 2024

£37,336 to £41,418 a year  PERMANENT 

The role will be based within the Social Care Training Team located at County Hall in Morpeth. The Team are responsible for the management and coordination of social work learning and development across the adult and childrens service areas including our in-house provider services. We also coordinate multi-agency training for the Northumberland Children and Adults Safeguarding Partnership (NCASP).

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic person to join our team who will share our commitment to workforce development and who will lead on the delivery of a range of programs to meet the requirements of our service areas.

Requirements of the role:

  • Hold a relevant professional qualification at degree level e.g.: Social Work Degree, PGCE, DipSW, health & social care related degree.

  • You will have a detailed understanding of social care legislation, regulations and professional best practice and in particular, in relation to child protection, adult safeguarding, mental capacity and statutory assessment processes.

  • Hold a valid UK driving licence and be able to meet the transport requirements of the post to travel to different locations across the County.
