The University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking a full-time Speciality Doctor in Microbiology to enhance their clinical microbiology and infection prevention services. This 12-month fixed-term position, which has the potential to become permanent, involves collaboration with a team of five Consultant Medical Microbiologists to provide essential services in medical microbiology, antimicrobial management, and infection control for the Trust, local GPs, and other service users. The role aims to strengthen the presence in wards, improve infection management practices, optimize laboratory service usage, and support the Trust's antimicrobial stewardship and infection prevention initiatives.
