The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a Multi Skilled Building Craftsperson - Painter to provide a wide-ranging maintenance service across various healthcare facilities. This role involves conducting both planned and reactive maintenance tasks, adhering to safety standards, and maintaining a high quality of work in painting, decorating, and minor building repairs. The post holder will work independently, report to the Estates Supervisor, and assist other trades as necessary while ensuring compliance with Trust regulations and health and safety laws.

Key responsibilities include undertaking painting and decorating of hospital areas, performing additional tasks such as glazing and plastering, and managing the upkeep of various workspaces. The ideal candidate will possess skills in using diverse tools and equipment, be familiar with different paint systems and wall coverings, and have the ability to interpret technical manuals for fault diagnosis. The position also emphasises the importance of training and adapting to current and future maintenance needs while assisting in the financial management of estates budgets as required.
