The Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a full-time Pathway Coordinator (Medical Secretary) to provide essential secretarial, organisational, and administrative support within the Maxillofacial Department, specifically aiding Head and Neck Oncology Surgeons and other clinicians. Ideal candidates should have a medical secretarial background with strong computer skills, particularly in audio typing, and possess excellent communication abilities. Key responsibilities include managing patient pathways to meet Oncology and RTT targets, handling sensitive information, coordinating appointments and follow-ups, typing clinic letters, and ensuring an efficient and empathetic service for patients.

The role requires a keen attention to detail, effective time management, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Successful candidates will maintain robust administrative and computerized systems, support clinical staff in tracking patient progress, and ensure all processes align with Trust guidelines. Additionally, involvement in departmental meetings, training, and potential supervision of temporary staff will be expected as part of a commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining a professional departmental image.
