Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust is looking for a full-time Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Inpatient Unit Therapy team at the Herts and Essex Hospital in Bishop's Stortford. This role involves working in a 32-bedded Community Inpatient Unit that caters to patients with a range of both long- and short-term conditions. The Occupational Therapist will provide rehabilitation services through one-on-one and group therapy sessions, focusing on areas such as orthopaedics, neurology, and amputee care. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and clinical reasoning skills, and will also supervise junior staff and therapy support workers under the direction of the Lead Therapist.

Additionally, the position requires weekend work approximately one out of every five weeks and includes a supportive team environment with opportunities for professional development. A valid driving license and regular access to a car for business purposes are necessary, along with an encouragement for staff vaccination against COVID-19. The trust promotes flexible working arrangements to support a healthy work-life balance.
