Job description
We are seeking an enthusiastic pharmacist to join our team in a band 8a, or 7 to 8a progression role, depending on experience. The focus of the first year of the post is to carry out brand switching of tacrolimus in liver transplant recipients.
The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham has a large tertiary liver unit, delivering a wide range of highly specialised treatment, including transplantation. Previous experience in liver is not essential.
- Proactively carry out brand switching of tacrolimus in liver transplant recipients
- Demonstrate expert clinical knowledge in responding to complex queries
- Work collaboratively as part of a wider team, and also independently
- Support with guidelines/treatment protocol development, including shared care
- Actively participate in audit
- Support and contribute to the development of the service
Training and support will be given to develop into the specialist role.
