An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the MRI Physics Team at UHB NHS Foundation Trust, following recent expansion in the team. We are seeking to recruit a HCPC registered Clinical Scientist, or someone in a position to achieve registration within a reasonable timeframe. However, candidates with less experience are also strongly encouraged to apply and will be considered for appointment as a trainee on Annex 21 to band 7. We have a strong track record of providing training to achieve HCPC registration via ACS Route 2 and encourage anyone interested in this route to apply.

We provide MRI physics support for clinical and research activity on 16 "in house" scanners across the four UHB hospital sites, the Institute of Translation Medicine and Birmingham Womens and Childrens Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, along with approx 30 MRI scanners for external providers. Current exciting developments include a dedicated paediatric intra-operative MR scanner and a radiotherapy planning MR scanner.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your interests and expertise in clinical MR physics within a friendly and supportive team, with active engagement encouraged with all appropriate regional and national networks. We are happy to consider flexible working arrangements with several members of the team working part-time or term-time only.
