The Central London Community Health Trust is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join its Mainstream Schools Team in Wembley. The role involves working collaboratively with school staff to support children and young people with various speech, language, and communication needs, including developmental language disorder (DLD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), speech sound difficulties, and selective mutism. Responsibilities include assessing students, providing direct therapy in both group and individual settings, advising school staff and parents, and delivering training initiatives.
Candidates should be prepared to work in a diverse, multicultural environment and contribute to project work while actively liaising with parents and other professionals. The position primarily focuses on delivering speech and language therapy to children with special educational needs (SEN) and Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs) across Brent primary and secondary schools, as well as further education colleges.

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist to join the Mainstream Schools Team. Therapists work closely with school staff to support children and young people with a range of speech, language and communication needs in schools as well as contributing to training initiatives and project work.
We provide SLT to children and young people
SEN support and with EHCPs in Brent primary schools, secondary and FE Colleges
Your role would include:
- The assessment of CYP with a range of speech, language and communication needs including- DLD, ASD, speech sound difficulties, selective mutism.
- Working directly with children in groups and individually, as well as offering advice and strategies to school staff and parents.
- Liaising with parents and other professionals
- Providing training for your allocated schools
