Lead Nurse for Safeguarding Adults

Band: 8A £53,755 - £60,504 Per annum, pro rata
Hours: Full time, 37.5 per week, all MKUH roles will be considered for flexible working
We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced Nurse/Registered Professional to work closely with the Head of Safeguarding to ensure the Trust meets it statutory responsibilities.
The successful applicant will provide leadership on Milton Keynes Think family Safeguarding strategy and workplan, promoting the safety and welfare of adults at risk and contribute to the development of safeguarding policies, procedures and guidance.
In addition to policy development and training, the successful applicant will oversee the management of safeguarding cases, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and effective interventions. This involves coordinating with external agencies, such as social services and law enforcement, to provide comprehensive support to at-risk adults. The role will require strong analytical skills to assess safeguarding concerns and make informed decisions, as well as excellent communication skills to advocate for the needs of vulnerable individuals. By leading on safeguarding initiatives, the successful applicant will play a key role in promoting a safe and supportive environment for all patients within the Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful applicant will
Provide expert advice, supervision and support on safeguarding adult matters working together with key professionals and partner agencies.
Actively contribute towards the quality and assurance of agenda including training, audits and the collection and analysis of relevant data.
Lead and have line management responsibility for Specialist Safeguarding Nurses/Practitioners.
This is a key senior named professional role that holds Trust wide responsibility for leading and co-ordinating effective arrangements for safeguarding adults including holding the role of Designated Adult Safeguarding Manager.
