The Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Lead Nurse for Safeguarding Adults, a full-time role offering a salary between £53,755 and £60,504 per annum. This position involves providing leadership in the Trust's safeguarding initiatives, specifically under the Milton Keynes Think Family Safeguarding strategy. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Head of Safeguarding to ensure compliance with statutory responsibilities, develop safeguarding policies, and manage safeguarding cases in coordination with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies like social services and law enforcement. Strong analytical and communication skills are necessary to assess safeguarding concerns, advocate for vulnerable individuals, and ensure effective interventions.

In this key senior role, the Lead Nurse will oversee the Specialist Safeguarding Nurses/Practitioners, contribute to quality assurance through training and audits, and strengthen the safeguarding framework within the Trust. The position emphasises a proactive approach to patient care while supporting a diverse and inclusive workplace. Flexible working arrangements are available, and candidates should be prepared to undergo document verification and may be subject to a probationary period.
