Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced midwife for the position of Ward Manager - Enhanced Recovery Pathway at Saint Mary's Hospital in North Manchester. This newly established role involves supporting the planning and launch of a 3-day Caesarean Section theatre list. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills, manage a team of midwives, and develop clinical practices while working closely with Matrons and the Deputy Head of Midwifery. The role also requires the ability to work autonomously, provide professional support, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and participate in education and training for staff and students.

In addition to clinical responsibilities, the Ward Manager will be accountable for evaluating services against national standards, implementing protocols, and engaging in research and audits within their specialty. Candidates should possess a solid foundation in midwifery clinical practice, leadership skills, and comply with NMC registration requirements.
